Report: Clinton sent info now classified on private server
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wrote and sent emails on a private server containing information that is now classified, according to a new report.
{mosads}Clinton handled potentially sensitive information the State Department has since classified after her tenure as its secretary, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.
It reported that a review of thousands of pages of released communications show multiple pages with redacted sentences or entire messages.
State officials who reviewed the material said they were blacked out for national security reasons, it added.
The Post reported on Wednesday that Clinton’s correspondences were among those of four dozen State Department officials who have since had their messages classified.
Some of those officials, the newspaper added, were major Clinton aides, including Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan.
State has released 188 emails containing currently classified information, the Post reported.
Critics say her technology habits at State prevented accountability and possibly jeopardized national security.
Support for Clinton’s Oval Office bid has been hurt by voter concerns over her transparency and trustworthiness.
