Walker: Americans ‘can’t trust Hillary’

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said on Sunday that Hillary Clinton’s recent attacks on him are just another reason why Americans cannot trust the former secretary of State.

“I think increasingly Americans across this country realize we can’t trust Hillary Clinton to tell the truth on just about anything,” the 2016 GOP presidential candidate said on CNN’s “State of the Union with Jake Tapper.”

Walker said on Sunday that Wisconsin has a law barring discrimination against women in the workplace and defended his record on women’s health issues.

“When it comes to women’s healthcare, again she’s just got it wrong,” Walker said.

“We took that money and put it out into noncontroversial areas to provide for women’s health. But again, this is just a classic example where you can’t trust Hillary Clinton,” he added.

Polls have called into question whether voters trust the former first lady.

Sixty-two percent of voters in a Quinnipiac poll released in July said that Clinton was not honest or trustworthy, compared to just 34 percent who said she was.
