Trump touts Bill Clinton ‘endorsement’

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday touted an “endorsement” from Bill Clinton, the husband of his main Democratic presidential rival, Hillary Clinton.

“An endorsement from Bill Clinton?” reads text to begin a video posted to Trump’s Instagram account.

{mosads}The video then includes various media clips of the former president calling Trump a “master brander” and an “interesting character” who offers “macho appeal.”

The real estate mogul commented on the video when promoting it on Twitter, to suggest Clinton’s comments show he wants to “Make America Great Again,” Trump’s campaign slogan.
The relationship between Trump and the Clintons has come up several times throughout the celebrity tycoon’s 2016 White House bid.

Republican rivals have knocked Trump for previously donating to the Clintons, and have pointed out the pair attended his 2005 wedding in Palm Beach, Fla.

Bill Clinton is viewed as a strong campaigner within the Democratic Party, and will be making an appearance on behalf of his wife’s campaign this weekend in Iowa.
