Clinton camp proves Bush right: High-fives over immigration
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush warned other Republican presidential candidates during Tuesday night’s debate that “they’re doing high-fives in the Clinton campaign now when they hear” the GOP talk about immigration reform.
The Clinton campaign was quick to respond over Twitter, seconds after the comment.
“We actually are doing high-fives right now,” tweeted Brian Fallon, Clinton’s press secretary.
{mosads}A short time later, Jennifer Palmieri, the campaign’s communication’s director, added her thoughts to Fallon’s tweet: “Truth,” she wrote.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton — who has been texting supporters during the past two Republican debates — weighed in on immigration several minutes later.
“I’ve heard nothing from these candidates about a real path to citizenship for immigrant families,” she wrote.
