Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is trying to hold off Ben Carson in the GOP’s 2016 race, but there’s one list where the businessman can’t keep up with the retired neurosurgeon.
Trump’s new book, “Crippled America,” is debuting behind Carson’s “A More Perfect Union” on the New York Times best-seller list, BuzzFeed reported Thursday.
{mosads}The business mogul’s latest work will be fifth in the overall rankings, with Carson’s book in fourth in the newspaper’s Nov. 22 edition rankings, the report said.
But “Crippled America” sneaks past “A More Perfect Union” in the “combined print and e-book” category, BuzzFeed added.
Carson’s book hit shelves in early October. It will be making its fifth appearance on the prestigious best-seller list.
Carson’s duel with Trump over book sales mirrors their race for the presidential nomination.
Trump currently leads Carson by less than 1 point nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.
Both men are also already accomplished authors. Trump frequently touts his “The Art of the Deal” with voters, while Carson has made his memoir “Gifted Hands” central to his personal story.
