‘Is Donald Trump disqualified?’ tops Google pre-debate

Searches asking if GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump still qualified for Tuesday’s primary debate topped Google ahead of the Las Vegas event.

Users asked, “Is Donald Trump disqualified?” more than any other question before the fifth Republican contest, according to data provided by the company.

{mosads}Google Trends found that searches next asked, “What did Donald Trump say yesterday?” most often late Tuesday. “Is Donald Trump out of the race?” was the third most popular query, the company’s data said.

Trump has repeatedly ranked among the most-searched-for Republican White House hopefuls on Google this year.

Google found that the issues most associated with the billionaire Tuesday evening were “immigration,” “Muslims,” “ISIS,” “Abortion” and “Gun Control.”

Trump appears in the GOP’s fifth main card presidential debate late Tuesday night as the party’s front-runner.

He sparked international outrage last week by suggesting a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. The outspoken real estate magnate has repeatedly defended the measure as necessary for preventing radical Islamic terror on U.S. soil.

Trump’s proposed Muslim ban has not hurt his standing with likely Republican voters in 2016. He currently leads the race for next year’s GOP presidential coronation by nearly 17 points, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.
