Graham: I miss George W. Bush
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is nostalgic for the days of President George W. Bush, telling the audience at Tuesday’s undercard Republican presidential debate that he’s tired of people bashing the former president.
“George W. Bush made mistakes, but he did adjust. I blame Obama for ISIL, not Bush, I’m tired of beating on Bush,” Graham said to cheers, using an alternate acronym for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
“I miss George W. Bush. I wish he were president right now; we wouldn’t be in this mess.”
He went on to suggest that America would be in a better position if Bush were still president.
“I’m tired of dictators walking all over us. I’m tired of siding with the Iranians and the Russians,” Graham said.
Less than a minute before, Graham panned President Obama by saying that drawing a red line in Syria back in 2013 but not following through on the threat was Obama’s “biggest mistake.”
