Clinton campaign calls for quick resolution of Sanders-DNC battle

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is calling for a quick resolution to the “egregious breach of data and ethics” by rival Bernie Sanders’s campaign.

“We hope that the court will resolve this matter tonight and the Sanders campaign has access to their voter files right away, with adequate protections of our proprietary information,” Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon said in a statement.

{mosads}The Sanders campaign is suing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in federal court after the campaign was barred from accessing its voter database. The suspension came after a Sanders campaign staffer was accused of improperly obtaining private data from Clinton’s campaign.

Clinton’s campaign is also calling for “a full, independent accounting” into the staffers’ actions.

“[We want] assurances that no data or strategic insight from this act of intrusion will be used by his campaign,” Fallon said. “This was an egregious breach of data and ethics.”

Sanders’s team said it has fired one staffer and that the DNC overreacted.
