Fiorina: Trump the ‘Kim Kardashian of politics’

GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Tuesday that Donald Trump is the political equivalent of reality television star Kim Kardashian.

“Donald Trump reminds me of the Kim Kardashian of politics,” she tweeted. “They’re both famous for being famous — and the media plays along.”

Trump has upended the race for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination with his celebrity and vast personal wealth.

The billionaire “Apprentice” star has led the Republican field since launching his campaign last summer despite lacking any political experience.

Fiorina, in contrast, has touted her own past as the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard while on the campaign trail.

Trump leads the other GOP White House hopefuls by nearly 16 points nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls. 

Fiorina, meanwhile, ranks eighth out of 11 contenders with 2.5 percent.
