Kasich dismisses talk of a spot on Trump ticket
In response to a National Review op-ed floating him as a potential running mate to Donald Trump, Republican primary candidate John Kasich said Sunday that he’s not interested in a spot on a potential Trump ticket.
{mosads}“Obviously people who have too much time on their hands didn’t have anything else to write about,” Kasich said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Trump, the Republican primary front-runner, at a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Saturday, said Scott Brown, a former Massachusetts senator, would be a “very good” vice presidential pick.
Kasich also said he was “sick to his stomach” about the nuclear agreement with Iran.
“Well, John, you know, it’s sort of funny, I woke up this morning, and it’s interesting I would be thinking about the Iran deal as I was getting ready to come over here, the Iran nuclear deal, and I was sort of sick to my stomach about it,” he said.
“Because what’s going to happen is Iran is going to get a ton of money, and this money they can use to spread a lot of trouble in the Middle East,” he added.
