Poll finds Sanders with 9-point lead in NH

Sen. Bernie Sanders leads Hillary Clinton by 9 points in New Hampshire, according to a Suffolk University poll released Friday.

The poll, conducted from Jan. 19 to 21, showed Sanders with 50 percent support compared to 41 percent support for Clinton.

{mosads}Likely Democratic voters, though, are more aligned with Clinton on gun control and think she would have the best chance at beating the Republican nominee, according to the poll.

The poll surveyed 500 likely New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary voters.

The Suffolk University poll shows a much closer race than a CNN/WMUR poll released Tuesday that showed Sanders with a 27-point lead over Clinton in New Hampshire.
