Megyn Kelly: Trump a ‘breath of fresh air’
Despite Donald Trump’s continued attacks against her, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly says he is a “breath of fresh air” in politics.
“He doesn’t care about P.C. culture,” Kelly said in an interview with Time magazine published on Wednesday. “It’s a breath of fresh air.”
{mosads}Kelly chalked up the Republican presidential front-runner’s criticisms of her, which range from questioning her journalistic objectivity to calling her a “bimbo,” to politics as usual.
“Working the refs is part of the job,” she said, adding that she is “absolutely not” biased against any candidate.
Kelly spoke to Time on Tuesday, just hours before Trump announced his plan to skip Thursday night’s Fox News debate.
Trump says Kelly has been unfair to him and should not be allowed to moderate the debate. He said his months-long feud with the Fox host constitutes a “conflict of interest” and has called her a “lightweight.”
Kelly told Time her network can’t give in to “terrorizations toward any of our employees.”
