Hillary makes play for immigrants in Nevada with new ad

Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton in a new ad released in Nevada highlights her opposition to deporting illegal immigrants.

The 60-second spot, titled “Brave,” features footage from a Clinton town hall in Las Vegas earlier this week during which the former secretary of State reassures a young girl who says her parents are going to be deported.

“My parents have a letter of deportation,” the girl says after Clinton calls on her. “I’m scared they are going to be deported.”

Clinton calls the girl on stage and tells her that she’s going to do everything she can to help her.

“I feel really, really strongly, but you’re being very brave,” Clinton says. “And you have to be brave for them, too. Because they want you to be happy, they want you to be successful, they don’t want you to worry too much.”

“Let me do the worrying,” she continues. “I’ll do all the worrying. Is that a deal?”

The ad closes by reminding voters to turn out for the caucuses on Feb. 20 in Nevada, where Clinton is running neck-and-neck with primary rival Bernie Sanders.
