Rubio slams Trump for making ties in China

Marco Rubio went after Donald Trump for making his signature men’s clothing line in China as the two attacked each other on jobs at Thursday’s GOP presidential debate.

As Trump spoke about China devaluing its currency, Rubio responded that he should make his Trump-branded ties in the U.S.: “Well then make them in America!”

{mosads}”You don’t know a thing about business,” the real estate mogul retorted, saying that American companies are unable to compete with Chinese businesses who pay lower wages.

“Make them in America!” Rubio reiterated as the pair talked over each other.

Rubio brought up Trump’s four bankruptcies, and Trump responded questioning the Florida senator’s personal finances.

“Here’s the guy that buys a house for $179,000, he sells it to a lobbyist — he’s probably here — for $380,00, and then legislation is passed,” Trump pushed back. “You tell me about this guy.”

“He’s the guy that inherited $200 million,” Rubio shot back. “If he hadn’t inherited $200 million you know where Donald Trump might be right now? Selling watches in Manhattan.”

Trump said that he took $1 million and turned it into $10 million.
