Giuliani: Clinton helped to create ISIS
Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday slammed Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, saying she helped to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
“I mean, Hillary Clinton could be considered a founding member of ISIS,” the former mayor of New York City told Bill O’Reilly on Fox News on Wednesday night.
{mosads}Giuliani said Clinton had her chance to do something about the terror group when she was secretary of State, but said she helped to create ISIS by “being part of an administration that withdrew from Iraq.”
“By being part of an administration that let [former Iranian Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki] run Iraq … into the ground, so you forced the Shiites to make a choice, by not intervening in Syria in the proper time.”
Bill O’Reilly countered, saying Clinton couldn’t force President Obama to do anything. He added the only thing she could have done was resign.
“Yeah,” Giuliani replied. “Which is what a patriot does.”
Giuliani continued to hit the Democratic front-runner later in the interview, saying he doesn’t want to see her in the White House.
“She’s had her chance,” he said. “She’s running on he record as secretary of State. What was her record as secretary of State? An utter failure.”
He said he hasn’t made his final decision as far as an endorsement of a presidential candidate, but right now, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump “looks like the best one.”
“I haven’t made my final decision,” he said.
