McCaskill responds to pro-Sanders meme

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), a Hillary Clinton ally, is calling out Bernie Sanders supporters for a meme making its way across the internet.  

{mosads}The meme shows Clinton campaigning on the New York subway and Sanders using “public transportation for transportation.” 

The “public transportation” in the Sanders photo is not actually public transportation, according to McCaskill. 

“Heads up Bernie supporters: that ‘public transportation’ is tram that takes Senators from their offices to Capitol,” McCaskill tweeted.

Clinton’s subway ride caused a media frenzy after she had trouble getting through a turnstile in New York City on Thursday. 

McCaskill endorsed Clinton for president in June 2013.
