Trump: Sanders was not an effective senator
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump took a shot at Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders on Sunday, questioning the Vermont senator’s legislative record.
{mosads}In a radio interview with John Catsimatidis, Trump was asked whether he predicted Sanders would pose a threat to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.
“No, nobody thought it was possible, nobody thought it could happen,” he said.
“And, you know, he was not an effective senator. He did nothing. I don’t even know who I’d rather run against.”
He also noted that Clinton has faced a streak of losses, as Sanders has claimed seven of the last eight state contests.
