New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will reach out to Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to find out why he is hesitant to endorse presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, according to WNYC.
Christie, who suspended his own campaign before endorsing Trump, is a potential vice president pick for Trump and has joined him often on the campaign trail.
{mosads}He also told the New York radio outlet he considers Trump to be a “strong person” whom he admires.
Ryan said Thursday during a CNN interview that he’s “just not ready” to support Trump as the nominee.
“To be perfectly candid with you. … I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now,” Ryan said on CNN’s “The Lead.”
