Trump lands Calif. lawmaker endorsement

California Rep. Darrell Issa gave his support to presumptive nominee Donald Trump in a statement Thursday.

“Donald Trump is the obvious choice for every American harmed by Obamacare, outraged by the continuous corruption of the State Department, Justice Department and the IRS, and worried about a failed foreign policy that has weakened our military, let down our allies and endangered Americans everywhere.”

Issa had previously supported Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and said in February that Donald Trump could be a “national Todd Akin,” referring to a 2012 Missouri Senate candidate who tanked after making a comment about how women rarely get pregnant from “legitimate rape.”
