Hatch endorses Trump after meeting
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) on Thursday endorsed Donald Trump for president after meeting with the presumptive GOP nominee and other Senate leaders.
“I totally endorse him,” Hatch said, according to Reuters.
{mosads}Hatch said in a statement before the meeting that he intended to support the GOP nominee all along.
“Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee, I will do what I can to help him run a successful campaign,” he said at the time.
Hatch, the Senate president pro tempore, originally endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the White House and then Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) after Bush ended his campaign.
