Judge in Trump University reseals some documents
The judge who ordered the release of hundreds of documents related to the lawsuit over Donald Trump’s Trump University real estate program has now resealed some of the documents.
{mosads}The move comes a day after 381 documents were released to the public as part of a lawsuit accusing the company of fraud.
U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel ordered the unsealing of the documents shortly after the presumptive Republican presidential nominee publicly attacked the judge, calling him a biased “hater” because he’s “Mexican.”
The judge asserted Trump’s lawyers had not met the bar to keep the documents sealed.
But Curiel said he “mistakenly” listed some of the documents to be released in full, when they should have been edited to delete personal information, Politico reported.
Curiel told Trump’s lawyers to file redacted copies by Thursday so they can be made public again.
