Sanders collaborates with Sonic Youth singer on new song

Thurston Moore, lead singer of The Sonic Youth, collaborated with the Bernie Sanders campaign on a new song.

{mosads}The single, “Feel It in Your Guts,” is reportedly “a twelve-string acoustic piece” laced with excerpts of Sanders’s speeches about economic inequality, social justice and human rights.

The first 1,000 people to make a new donation to the Sanders campaign will receive a white vinyl record of the song.

Karl Hofstetter, founder of Joyful Noise Recordings, said the company approached Moore about working on the single and he “excitedly agreed.”

“We at the label were inspired to support the campaign, and we thought it would be best to use our curatorial talents to this end,” Hofstetter wrote on the record company’s website. “The amazing folks at the Bernie campaign have worked closely with us to make this crazy collaboration a reality.”
