Poll: Clinton leads Trump by 3 points in Florida

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 3 points in Florida, according to a new poll released Friday.

Clinton has 45 percent support to Trump’s 42 percent, according to the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey.

{mosads}Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has 6 percent support, and 7 percent are undecided.

Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner, outperforms rival Bernie Sanders in head-to-head match-ups with Trump in Florida.

Sanders and Trump are tied at 42 percent, were they to face off, the poll found.

Vice President Biden, who ruled out a presidential run last year, leads Trump 50 percent to 40 percent in a hypothetical match-up.

The poll found that Clinton and Trump both have high unfavorability ratings in Florida.

Fifty-three percent said they see Trump unfavorably, while 47 percent said the same of Clinton.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R), a possible running mate for Trump, could hurt the presumptive GOP nominee in the Sunshine State, the poll found.

Forty percent said they would be “less likely” to vote for Trump with Scott on his ticket.

Mason-Dixon Polling & Research conducted its poll of 625 registered voters in Florida via landline telephone interviews from May 31 to June 2. It has a 4 percent margin of error.
