Bernie Sanders didn’t respond to a question about President Obama’s Thursday endorsement of Hillary Clinton after a meeting with Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.
{mosads}”What is your reaction to the president endorsing Hillary Clinton today?” a reporter is heard asking in a video of the sit-down posted to Twitter by an Agence France-Presse reporter.
Sanders stays silent as Reid tells the press that they’re not taking any questions.
“What do you want to tell Sen. Reid, and Sen. Reid, what do you want tell Sen. Sanders?” another asks.
Reid interrupts to say that the two had made a deal not to answer questions from press during the photo op — a common practice for politicians.
“OK guys, we’re not going to take any questions, that’s kind of the deal that I made, and Bernie said that was OK with him for now,” Reid says.
Sanders met with President Obama earlier on Thursday, prior to the president’s endorsement of Clinton over Sanders in the presidential race.
