Chaffetz: Obama more ‘fired up’ to attack GOP than ISIS

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) agrees with Donald Trump that President Obama has “more fire in his belly” when attacking Republicans than when talking about defeating terrorists.

{mosads}”When you want to see the president fired up, it’s when he’s talking about Republicans. It’s not when he’s going out and talking about defeating ISIS and protecting the United States of America,” Chaffetz said Wednesday morning on “Fox and Friends.”

Chaffetz was referring to Obama’s speech Tuesday in which he defended his decision not to use the phrase “radical Islam” in reference to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

When host Brian Kilmeade pointed out that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton called the nightclub shooting in Orlando “radical Islamism,” Chaffetz said it was a political move.

“This is the heart and root of why Hillary Clinton lacks credibility, and I don’t believe she will become the next president of the United States because she’s willing to say or do anything when it’s politically convenient.”

Speaking at a rally Tuesday in Greensboro, N.C., Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, said Obama was angrier with him than with the nightclub shooter.

“The level of anger, that’s the kind of anger he should have for the shooter and these killers that shouldn’t be here,” Trump said. “We have a radical Islamic terrorism problem.”
