Trump: Police shooters ‘bad people’

Donald Trump on Monday lashed out at the man behind Sunday’s fatal shooting in Baton Rouge, La., calling those who attack police officers “bad people.”

“Bad people, no question about it,” he said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.” “Really bad. He had a lot of hate. It’s not an easy situation, no question about it.”

Gavin Long, 29, reportedly targeted law enforcement officers over their treatment of black citizens. He was shot and killed at the scene.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, on Monday said race relations have eroded under President Obama’s watch.

“We have a country that has not been like this since I can remember it,” he said. “It’s so out of control. We’ve got to bring law and order back to our country, whether we like it or not.

“[Obama’s] been a great divider in this country. Race relations are as bad as they’ve ever been in this country.”
