GOP senator: Calls to lock Clinton up are ‘jumping the shark’
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday questioned the wisdom of the Republican National Convention’s focus on calling for prison for Hillary Clinton.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee “now belongs in prison? C’mon. We can make the case that she shouldn’t be elected without jumping the shark,” Flake tweeted.

{mosads}New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) conducted a mock trial of Clinton on the convention stage Tuesday night, polling the crowd on whether she was guilty of various offenses and eliciting enthusiastic shouts of “guilty.”
At several points during his speech, the audience chanted, “Lock her up.”
