Pro-Trump radio host: Imagine polls don’t exist

YourVoice Radio’s Bill Mitchell, a supporter of Donald Trump, asked a unique question on Twitter that’s attracting a decent amount of attention. 

Imagine polls don’t exist. Show me evidence Hillary is winning?

Mitchell is a Charlotte, N.C.-based radio host whose program is streamed on YourVoiceRadio.com Sundays through Thursdays at 8 p.m. Eastern. 

But pollster Frank Luntz pointed out that  Mitchell has embraced pro-Trump polls in the past.

Mitchell’s contention, made in a series of tweets, appears to be that polls are not correctly weighted by party affiliation.  

If Monmouth is really endeavoring to produce an honest poll, why is their weighted sample D+9? Weighted meaning, “we did this on purpose”.

Mitchell, who has more than 67,000 Twitter followers, also argues that Trump’s social media following and the size of crowds at his campaign rallies should be taken into consideration when judging the state of the presidential race between Trump and his Democratic Hillary Clinton.

Since Trump is CRUSHING Hillary on Social Media and DESTROYING her on rallies, I can only guess her supporters don’t own computers or cars?

In 2012, President Obama led Republican challenger Mitt Romney by 3.9 points on Aug. 8 in the RealClearPolitics average of national polls. The president would go on to win three months later by that exact margin in the popular vote, 51.1 percent to 47.2 percent. 

RealClearPolitics currently has Clinton leading Trump, 47.5 percent to 40 percent. 

Trump led in the average as recently as July 28.
