Army training slide branded Clinton as ’insider threat’: report

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton appeared in an Army training presentation labeled as an “insider threat,” the Washington Examiner reports.

{mosads}The presentation featured a slide titled “Who is the threat? Insiders” along with photos of former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis and Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan. Clinton and Gen. David Petraeus, who shared classified information with his biographer and mistress, are also pictured.

Above the list of featured individuals is a partial definition of insider threats that read, “Careless or disgruntled employees.”

Clinton has been under scrutiny for her use of a private email server while she was secretary of State.

According to the report, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command spokesman Maj. Thomas Campbell confirmed that the image posted on the Facebook group “U.S. Army W.T.F! moments” is authentic. He said the slide was used 18 months ago by a local unit to teach proper handling of classified information.

“As is common with Army training requirements, the local unit was given latitude to develop their own training products to accomplish the overall training objective. This particular presentation had not been reviewed or approved by the unit’s leadership, and does not reflect the position of the Army,” he said.

The training slide in the presentation has since been removed.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tweeted about the slide on Friday.
