Poll: Clinton leads Trump by double digits in NH

Hillary Clinton commands a double-digit edge over Donald Trump in New Hampshire, according to a new poll.

Clinton tops Trump by 11 points, 43 percent to 32 percent, in the WMUR Granite State survey released Friday.

{mosads}Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson ranks third with 12 percent, followed by Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 4 percent. Three percent plan on voting for someone else, and 5 percent are undecided.

Friday’s poll found the gap separating Clinton and Trump shrinks in a head-to-head matchup.

Forty-five percent back Clinton in that scenario, followed by 36 percent who pick Trump, 14 percent selecting someone else and 5 percent who remain undecided.

WMUR conducted its latest sampling of 433 likely voters in New Hampshire via cell and landline telephone interviews from Aug. 20-28. It has a 4.7 percent margin of error.

July’s edition of the same poll had Clinton and Trump tied in New Hampshire before their respective political party’s national conventions.

Clinton received 37 percent in July, as did Trump, in a four-way race.

Clinton enjoys a 9-point lead on Trump in New Hampshire, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls there.

Multiple national polls have recently shown the gap between the two shrinking ahead of November’s general presidential election.
