Clinton to attend Ground Zero ceremony on Sept. 11

Hillary Clinton will visit Manhattan’s Ground Zero on Sunday to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

{mosads}A campaign aide confirmed that Clinton would attend the ceremony but would not make any public remarks, emphasizing that the former New York senator would be there to pay her respects.

Clinton and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, a native of New York, have both pledged not to campaign that day.

ABC News reported the trip earlier Friday.

Clinton was New York’s junior senator at the time of the attacks. Throughout her presidential bid, she has emphasized her role in helping the city and its first responders in the wake of the attacks.
