He’s slammed Hillary Clinton throughout his campaign, attacking her on everything from her health to her character, but Donald Trump says he doesn’t “dislike” his White House rival.
“No, I don’t dislike people,” Trump told Ora TV “Politicking” host Larry King in a Thursday night interview, when asked whether he disliked the Democratic presidential nominee.
{mosads}“What I want to do is I want to make America great again, and she’ll never be able to do it,” Trump said. “She doesn’t have what it takes.”
King later pressed the GOP nominee about his feelings toward Clinton, asking, “The race has gotten rough, but you personally don’t dislike her?”
“No. It’s not about liking or disliking,” Trump replied. “I mean, I wish she did a phenomenal job and we wouldn’t have all these problems. I wouldn’t be running. I’d be having dinner with you someplace maybe,” the billionaire businessman told King with a slight laugh.
Trump said he’s anticipating going head-to-head against Clinton at the first presidential debate, scheduled for Sep. 26 at Hofstra University.
“Nothing in life is easy,” Trump said. “It’s not going to be easy, but it’s something I do look forward to, absolutely.”
