Ivanka Trump blasts Cosmo after heated interview
Ivanka Trump called out Cosmopolitan magazine Thursday, a day after the outlet published a contentious interview on her father’s policies.
“Politics aside, I’m working to raise awareness on issues that are of critical importance to American women and families,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “@Cosmopolitan, your readers do & should care about issues impacting women & children. Keep the focus where it belongs—advocating change.”

2/3:Regardless of who you support, policies benefiting women+families are becoming topics of mainstream conversation & that’s a good thing.

{mosads}Trump and Cosmopolitan reporter Prachi Gupta got into a heated exchange over whether Donald Trump’s new family leave proposal would cover gay couples.
“So it’s meant to benefit, whether it’s in same-sex marriages as well, to benefit the mother who has given birth to the child if they have legal married status under the tax code,” Ivanka Trump said in the interview.
“Well, what about gay couples, where both partners are men?” Gupta responded.
Trump responded that the plan was meant to “help mothers in recovery in the immediate aftermath of childbirth.”
Gupta continued to press her, referring to a comment her father made in 2004 about pregnancy being “inconvenient for business” and asking her what has changed since then.
“So I think that you have a lot of negativity in these questions, and I think my father has put forth a very comprehensive and really revolutionary plan to deal with a lot of issues,” Ivanka Trump responded. “So I don’t know how useful it is to spend too much time with you on this if you’re going to make a comment like that.”
