Poll: Clinton’s national lead narrows to 1 point

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by just 1 point nationally in a new Fox News poll, the latest to show that the former secretary of State’s advantage withering over the past week.

{mosads}In a four-way match-up, Clinton (D) has 41 percent support among likely voters, Trump (R) has 40 percent, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has 8 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein is at 3 percent.

In a head-to-head match-up, Trump leads Clinton 46 percent to 45 percent.

The poll was conducted in the wake of Clinton’s high-profile stumble while leaving a 9/11 ceremony Sunday, leading to the revelation that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia.

Clinton continues to be favored by nonwhite voters, who prefer her over Trump by a margin of 51 points, and by women, among whom Clinton leads by 13 points.

She is also up by 16 points over Trump among voters living in households that make less than $50,000 a year.

Meanwhile, Trump has significant leads among men, 13 points, and white voters without a college degree, 31 points.

The poll surveyed 867 likely voters Sept. 11-14. It has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
