Trump gloats about reporters nearly missing rally
Donald Trump celebrated the fact that members of his traveling press were held up and running late to a Thursday night rally.
“I have really good news for you. I just heard that the press is stuck on their airplane, they can’t get here. I love it,” he told the crowd in Laconia, N.H., prompting cheers from the crowd.
{mosads}“They’re trying to get here now. They’re going to be about 30 minutes late,” Trump continued. “They called us and said, ‘Could you wait?’ I said, ‘Absolutely not. Let’s get going.’ ”
Reporters in Trump’s press pool complained on Twitter that the campaign had botched their travel arrangements. They also took shots at the campaign for not having a protective press pool, which would ensure that journalists are always able to stay close to the candidate.
And now apparently he’s on stage mocking the fact that he started without the press arriving. 2/2 https://t.co/kABvyvUack

This week, Conway said Clinton treats the press like second class citizens. Please note that Trump is speaking right now and we are on a bus

Trump doing this rally without his traveling press corps even here is an absurd joke.

The reporters apparently made it to the event just minutes before Trump wrapped up.
The traveling Trump press saw 3 minutes and 28 seconds of his rally in Laconia.
