Poll: Clinton opens up 6-point lead over Trump

Hillary Clinton has a six-point lead over Donald Trump nationally, according to a poll released Wednesday.

{mosads}Clinton has 44 percent support among likely voters to Trump’s 38 percent in the Ipsos/Reuters national tracking poll, which was taken before Monday’s first presidential debate.

In last week’s poll, the two major party’s nominees were tied at 39 percent in a head-to-head poll. In the four-way matchup last week, Trump had a two-point lead.

This week’s poll was conducted among 1,041 likely voters from Sept. 22 to 26. The margin of error is 3.5 percent.
