Biden: Clinton ‘clobbered’ for showing emotion

Vice President Biden says Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton struggles with displaying her emotions to voters.

“I know her,” he told host Chris Cuomo during a CNN interview aired early Tuesday. “I know she cares. But every time she expresses emotion, she gets clobbered. She gets clobbered.

{mosads}“I think that’s what has to be communicated to those folks who are looking at [GOP nominee Donald] Trump and saying, ‘Well, maybe he’s the answer.’ He doesn’t deliver anything for them that’s going to change their lives.”

Biden, who has endorsed Clinton, said education is one area the former first lady feels passionately about improving.

“It’s not just about the kid. It’s not just about school. It’s about being able to meet the expectations of those children and not having a level playing field out there. That’s what it’s about. And I know Hillary feels that.”

Trump and Clinton’s race for the presidency remains tight at both the national and state levels just more than a month from Election Day.

Clinton is enjoying a modest boost with voters, however, following last week’s presidential debate, the first of three against the billionaire.

The former secretary of State leads Trump by about 3 points nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.
