Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson says Donald Trump cannot become president, calling on Republicans to vote for him instead as allegations pile up that Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, touched women inappropriately.
“Donald Trump cannot win this election. It’s time for Republicans, and all Americans, to face that reality,” Johnson in a statement late Wednesday.
{mosads}“And it’s time to reject the notion that he is the only option other than [Democratic nominee] Hillary Clinton. Americans deserve better. Women deserve better.”
Several women on Wednesday came forward to say they had been groped or forcibly kissed by Trump in the past.
The allegations follow the release of a 2005 tape in which Trump describes how he could touch women’s genitalia or kiss them without consent due to his celebrity status.
Two women told The New York Times in a story published Wednesday that Trump kissed or groped them without permission.
Trump’s campaign on late Wednesday disputed the Times’s reporting as “a completely false, coordinated character assassination.”
