Poll: Trump’s image slides with Republicans

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s standing among Republicans is falling in the wake of a tape showing him making lewd comments about women, according to a new poll.

Thirty-three percent of Republicans in the Gallup survey, released Thursday, now see Trump unfavorably. That’s 3 points higher than last week.

{mosads}Sixty-four percent now view Trump favorably, meanwhile, down from 69 percent last week.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s unfavorability rating among Republicans held steady at 92 percent in the new poll.

Gallup’s latest poll has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Trump in a 2005 tape released last week talks with former “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush about his failed sexual advances on a married woman and groping women without their consent.

Multiple GOP lawmakers have since withdrawn their endorsements of Trump, while others have called for him to drop out of the presidential race.

Several women have also come forward to say Trump kissed or touched them inappropriately in the past.
