Clinton campaign fires back: ‘The system is not rigged’
The Hillary Clinton campaign on Monday dismissed cries from Donald Trump that a “rigged election” will steal the presidency from him.
{mosads}”He knows he’s losing and is trying to blame that on the system,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a conference call with reporters.
“That is what losers do. We’re not even going to give it any credit by amplifying it. It’s not true. The system is not rigged. This is probably going to be the easiest, most accessible election in our history.”
As polls find Trump losing support amid allegations of sexual assault, the GOP presidential nominee has sharpened his rhetoric about a “rigged” system, warning that “large scale voter fraud” will ensure victory for his Democratic opponent.
“The election is being rigged by corrupt media pushing false allegations and outright lies in an effort to elect Hillary Clinton president,” Trump said at a rally in Bangor, Maine, Saturday.
“We are going to stop it. We are not going to back down.”
Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, also promised over the weekend the ticket would “absolutely” accept the results of the election.
