Gary Johnson: Clinton told debate’s ‘biggest whopper’

Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson says Democrat Hillary Clinton uttered the largest falsehood of the final presidential debate.

{mosads}“The biggest hoo-hah of the evening, the biggest whopper, was when Hillary said, ‘Hey, I’m not going to add a penny to the deficit,’” the former GOP governor of New Mexico said on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” late Wednesday. “Come on. $30 trillion, maybe, but not a penny.”

During Wednesday’s debate in Las Vegas, Clinton pledged that she would not “add a penny to the national debt” if elected.

“I pay for everything I’m proposing,” she said.

Johnson was also highly critical of Republican Donald Trump, disagreeing with the billionaire on illegal immigration and the electoral process.

“I’ve got to tell you, it’s just crazy, the notion of deporting 11 million undocumented workers,” he said. “In New Mexico, how’s that going to work where half the population is Hispanic?”

He additionally voiced concern about how entitlement spending and healthcare policy would hurt millennials.

“They’re getting screwed,” he said.

Johnson, who typically polls below 15 percent nationally, said he would readily accept the election’s results next month.

Trump has drawn bipartisan criticism for refusing to say the same on Wednesday night.

“I will look at it at the time,” Trump said, adding he would keep Americans “in suspense” until then.
