Trump up 4 points in Florida

Donald Trump has a 4-point lead over Hillary Clinton in the crucial battleground state of Florida, according to a New York Times Upshot/Siena poll released Sunday.

{mosads}Trump is favored by 46 percent of likely voters, while Clinton is backed by 42 percent. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has the support of 4 percent of likely voters.

In a Florida poll conducted a month ago, the Democratic presidential nominee had a 1-point advantage over her Republican rival.

Trump leads Clinton among white voters in Florida by a 29-point margin, 58 percent to 29 percent, pollsters found. She has a wider edge among black voters, however, 81 percent to 11 percent, and also has a wide lead among Hispanics, 59 percent to 30 percent.

The poll of 814 likely voters in Florida was conducted from Oct. 25 to 27, before FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to lawmakers telling them the agency had found new emails “pertinent” to its investigation into Clinton’s private email sever while serving as secretary of State.

Clinton leads Trump by less than half a percentage point in a RealClearPolitics average of state polling that shows her with 44.7 percent support, Trump with 44.3 percent, Johnson with 3.3 percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein with 1.2 percent.
