Rep. Barrow raises $417K as he considers Senate run

Barrow held onto a heavily Republican House seat in 2012 and is now considering a run for retiring Sen. Saxby Chambliss’s (R-Ga.) seat. The fundraising figure is very solid for a House candidate so early in the cycle, though it’s not a huge haul for a Senate candidate.

{mosads}The congressman now has $440,000 in the bank after depleting his campaign funds during the 2012 cycle, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. Sources say he’s still undecided on a Senate bid but that he’s more likely than not to run.
