DSCC tops NRSC in April fundraising

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has edged the National Republican Senatorial Committee in April fundraising, bringing in $6.3 million to the NRSC’s $6 million.

{mosads}The DSCC now has $25 million in the bank after raising $80.4 million in the election cycle. The NRSC has $19.3 million in the bank, having raised $59.2 million. Neither committee is carrying any debt.

“The Kochs are continuing their unprecedented onslaught of false attack ads aimed at boosting these Republicans, but Democrats are prepared to counter their millions with the support of thousands of generous donors across the country and a strong grassroots network determined to fight back,” said DSCC Executive Director Guy Cecil.

The DSCC has had the fundraising edge for most of the campaign cycle, though Senate Republicans have been closing the gap in recent months.
