Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) has posted a huge fundraising quarter, bringing in more than $4 million in her race against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) during the past three months.
{mosads}Grimes, who’s running competitively against McConnell in the Republican-leaning state, has raised $11.6 million since she launched her campaign and has $6.2 million in the bank as of the end of June.
McConnell hauled in $3.1 million during the same period, he announced Tuesday afternoon, and has $9.8 million in the bank, having raised $25 million overall this campaign cycle.
Grimes is the latest Senate Democrat to reveal a huge fundraising haul. Georgia Democrat Michelle Nunn brought in $3.5 million during the same period, while Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) raised $3.6 million.
