The Republican National Committee (RNC) is shifting $6.5 million in resources to the National Republican Senatorial and Congressional committees, a move that could help those committees close their resource gap in the race for congressional control.
{mosads}The RNC raised $13.5 million in September, its strongest non-presidential September in history. It’s transferring $4 million to the NRSC, $1 million to the NRCC and $1.5 million to state parties to use in Senate races.
The organization says it’s spent $105 million focused on the 2014 elections, with an emphasis on building the party’s ground game.
The RNC has outraised the Democratic National Committee by a wide margin this election cycle, while the GOP House and Senate committees have trailed their Democratic counterparts in fundraising.
