Sen. Booker wins reelection in New Jersey

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) won reelection Tuesday against Republican Jeff Bell, according to The Associated Press.

Booker was first elected to Congress in a special election in October 2013 to fill the seat left vacant by the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D).

{mosads}Recent polls indicated Booker was ahead of Bell by at least 10 percentage points.

Bell, who worked as an aide to Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, unsuccessfully ran for Senate in 1978 and 1982.
