Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) is bringing the dab into politics.
During a Senate race debate in California, Sanchez “dabbed” on her opponent, state Attorney General Kamala Harris.
{mosads}According to the Los Angeles Times, Sanchez was repeatedly admonished by the debate moderator to wrap up her closing statement, and when she finally gave the floor to Harris, she struck the pose, popularized by NFL star Cam Newton and the hip-hop group Migos.
But the televised broadcast of the debate had already moved to a close-up on Harris and did not show Sanchez’s dance move. Instead, viewers at home saw Harris laughing and saying, “So there’s a clear difference between the candidates in this race.”
“There definitely is,” Sanchez interjected.
