Third Republican lines up to challenge Franken

{mosads}She’ll face state Rep. Jim Abeler and businessman Mike McFadden in the race. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that Ortman has long been preparing for a run.

The senator has held her seat since 2002, and once served as deputy Senate leader.

Though Republicans believe the red tint of the state could make Franken vulnerable, he’s widely popular and is currently favored to win reelection.
