Dem poll: Pryor leads Cotton by 8 points
{mosads}That’s a better position for Pryor than other polling of the race has shown him in: a few Republican polls earlier this year found Cotton already leading Pryor, and operatives on both sides of the aisle believe he’s the most vulnerable senator running for reelection this year.
The senator’s approval rating in the poll is at 47 percent with 34 percent disapproving, while Cotton’s split is 28 approving and 22 percent disapproving.
Partisan polls should always be viewed with some skepticism, however, and this poll seems to skew Democratic. President Obama’s approval rating in the state stands at 41 percent with 56 percent disapproving despite the fact that he only won 37 percent of the state’s vote in 2012 and has seen his approval numbers decline somewhat nationwide since.
